Shadow Electric Radio Controlled Car - Brushless Version

This is an upgraded super fast brushless version of the Shadow electric remote controlled rally car. It has all the same great features as the standard version such as the fibreglass chassis, oversized shocks and high grip tyres, but this version is capable of crazy high speeds thanks to the 2040KV brushless motor with 25A brushless ESC. It has also been upgraded with a 2.4G radio system.

The Shadow is a new generation of 1/16 scale on road rally RC cars. This special rally spec adds specially designed high grip tyres, large shock absorbers with adjustable setup for light off road use and an extra light fibreglass chassis. This is a great spec racing model that is capable of high speeds and performance.

This RTR radio controlled rally RC car is of course 4WD for consistent grip on a wide variety of surfaces, easy to drive, and has all of the features you need to adjust for a perfect rally race. Some of the many features include fully adjustable front and rear sway bar system for better handling, a unique fibreglass chassis and upper deck to reduce weight and the model is fully ball raced meaning that ball bearings are used instead of metal bushings making it faster and smoother. A high torque servo is used for the steering to help steer it in rally conditions and there is massive power from the brushless motor setup. The special motor in this model is much quicker than the motors found in other models. As it is brushless it also means the motor needs no maintenance and can handle a lot more power being pumped into it. So to take full advantage of that the standard 7.2V Ni-Mh batteries that are found in most radio controlled car kits have been replaced with a powerful 7.4V lithium battery along with a balanced lithium battery charger that is needed for these special batteries.

The model comes with a wheel type 2.4GHz controller. This has many advantages over AM/FM transmitters:

• Improved reliability due to less interference at this frequency range
• Quicker more responsive control
• Lower power consumption
• Many models can drive together at once without need for checking frequencies and crystals etc

The Shadow RC car comes fully built with everything you need to get racing apart from eight normal AA batteries for the radio handset. This is a high spec model that at full speed requires some real skill to control it!

FIBREGLASS COUNTERSUNK CHASSIS
The chassis and upper chassis have been upgraded to strong but light fibreglass. The screws are countersunk to give a smooth surface.

FAST BRUSHLESS MOTOR
The motor in this model is brushless and is connected to a brushless fully proportional ESC and lithium polymer battery. This setup makes the model extremely fast. The motor is fixed to a metal mount to stop any flex and to protect the gears. To handle the extra power the spur gear has been upgraded to strong Delrin material.

4WD WITH ALUMINIUM CENTRAL DRIVE SHAFT
The four wheel drive improves grip when cornering. The power is transferred to the wheels via a solid aluminium central drive shaft and front / rear differentials that further improve handling.

OIL FILLED SHOCKS WITH SWAY BARS
Oil filled shocks are mounted using ball mounts for flexibility. Both the angle as well as the tension is adjustable. Sway bars are fitted as standard that greatly improve cornering at speed.
